Hippy the Happy Hippopotamus!

Hippy is a
young hippo growing up with his family, the Brushytails, in Africa.
Hippy is not allowed to go swimming in the river on his own but one day he goes
off to the river when his parents aren’t looking, He gets so excited that
he overturns a boat full of people, but Hippy and the Brushytails rescue them
all and they become lifelong friends.

This is the first
in a series of children's stories featuring the adventures of young Hippy as he
explores his world and sees the effect of a changing environment on it.

Written by environmental scientist and author Professor Chris Rhode for his neice, Chloe when she was 4.
